Alfonso Fuentes is a Puerto Rican composer, pianist, poet, and educator at Puerto Rico’s Conservatory of Music. Performers of his music include Sinfonia Varsovia, Sichuan Philharmonics, Puerto Rico Symphony, members of the Chicago Symphony, and the Los Angeles Philharmonics, as well as distinguished artists in Brazil, China, Cuba, Denmark, England, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Puerto Rico, Spain, USA, and Venezuela. Recordings include the London Symphony Orchestra and others. He has been commissioned and/or endorsed by the Puerto Rico Community Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Rockefeller Foundation, Ministerio de cultura y deportes de Guatemala, and the Capitol Normal University of Beijing, among many others. He has participated in more than 6000 presentations in TV Shows, dozens of recordings and jingles, and has made over 500 artistic trips to several continents.
